Timeline of Violence in Ingushetia
Timeline of Violence in Dagestan
In the light of an unprecedented upsurge of violence in Ingushetia and Dagestan, and in hopes
of better understanding the developments at hand, American Committee for Peace
in the Caucasus has made an attempt to keep track of various events that have
shaken the two republics since last year. Here you will be able to
find dates and brief descriptions of incidents that have been reported by the
media and human rights organizations. It should be assumed that many acts of
violence have not been reported, and therefore, are neither treated in the media nor
are they on our list. More about each of the
listed incidents can be found in the archive pages.
