About the News Update

Each week, the American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus compiles a collection of the most relevant news articles dealing with events in the North Caucasus republics. The news update also serves to inform subscribers about upcoming events and new publications from both ACPC and related groups. News items are arranged and discussed thematically to present information to subscribers in a timely and accessible manner. While the majority of material included in the news update is from English language sources, Russian language sources are included as well. We aim to keep our subscribers well informed of day-to-day developments in the North Caucasus, and the weekly email update is one of the most effective ways to achieve this. All the material included in the news updates is also available in our website news archive, where you can find more in-depth news coverage of events in this region.
