ACPC Launches New Website
October 18, 2002, 12:00 p.m. EDT

The American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC) today launched its new website, peaceinchechnya.org.

"This website will help illuminate the catastrophe in Chechnya," said ACPC Executive Director Glen Howard. "It will provide scholars, decision-makers, journalists and the public with an online-clearing house for balanced news and information concerning the war."

The site features peace plans and breaking news from the region, as well as reports on human rights and the war on terrorism. It also features tools to help concerned citizens learn more about the conflict and contact their elected officials. The site was developed by Form & Substance.

Founded in 1999, the Committee is a privately funded, bipartisan coalition dedicated to promoting a peaceful end to the war in Chechnya.
